What to do in case of dental injuries?
The BLZK information sheet provides initial guidance:
Broken tooth (part of the tooth crown)
Find the broken piece and store it in cold milk (preferably UHT milk), sterile saline solution, or a tooth rescue box.
Then go to a dentist or dental clinic as quickly as possible.
Tooth severely loosened or displaced
Do not move the tooth. Only bite down carefully and go to a dentist or dental clinic immediately.
Knocked-out tooth
Find the tooth and handle it only by the crown, not by the root.
Do not clean the tooth, even if it is dirty.
Store it as moist as possible, e.g., in:
- cold milk
- sterile saline solution
- a tooth rescue box
Alternatively:
- in plastic wrap (e.g., a freezer bag)
- or keep it in the mouth
Then go to a dentist or dental clinic immediately.
