Costs, Fees, Insurance
Costs, fees, and insurance – fair, clear, and transparent
Questions regarding costs should be understandable and transparent. That is why we place great importance on informing you clearly about possible services, alternatives, and resulting costs before any treatment.
Where available and medically appropriate, we also offer treatments as pure statutory health insurance services without additional private costs. This applies to many areas of dentistry – for example, examinations, X-rays, tartar removal, fillings, root canal treatments, splints, dentures, or periodontitis treatments.
Clear cost planning before the start of treatment
If a co-payment arises for a treatment, you will, of course, receive a treatment and cost plan from us in advance. This way, you know early on which treatment is planned and what costs are to be expected.
Our goal is reliable planning without unpleasant surprises. Invoices should remain transparent and be based on the previously discussed calculation.
We also take special tariffs into account – for example, student tariffs of private insurance companies – within the framework of the applicable regulations.
Why costs can vary
Dental services are not determined freely but are billed according to statutory fee schedules.
- Statutory health insurance patients: Billing according to the BEMA
- Privately insured / supplementary insured: Billing according to the GOZ
For private services, factors such as difficulty, time required, and individual scope of treatment play a role. Therefore, costs may vary depending on the situation.
Services outside of statutory health insurance coverage – for example, professional teeth cleaning, high-quality ceramic restorations, veneers, implants, or certain modern additional procedures – are discussed with you in advance and planned transparently.
Support with reimbursement and insurance
We are happy to support you with questions regarding reimbursement by statutory health insurance funds, private health insurance, supplementary insurance, or state aid (Beihilfe).
Many supplementary insurance policies cover portions of the costs for high-quality dental services, depending on the tariff.
Our commitment
You should be able to make medically sound decisions – with clarity about benefits, alternatives, and costs. That is why we rely on open consultation, transparent planning, and clear billing.

Frequently asked questions about costs
Will I incur additional costs?
For every treatment, we offer – where available and medically justifiable – a pure statutory health insurance service without private additional services and without extra costs. We calculate in such a way that the invoice does not exceed the cost plan.
Is a cost plan always created?
Yes. If a co-payment arises for you, we fundamentally create a treatment and cost plan in advance so that you know the expected costs before the treatment begins.
Which services are outside of statutory health insurance coverage?
Services such as professional teeth cleaning, high-quality ceramic restorations, veneers, implants, or certain modern additional procedures are not part of standard care. They are discussed with you in advance and planned transparently.
Does the practice assist with reimbursement?
Yes. We support you to the best of our ability with questions regarding reimbursement by statutory health insurance funds, private full and supplementary insurance, as well as state aid offices. Many supplementary insurance policies cover portions of the costs for high-quality services, depending on the tariff.
What applies to student tariffs of private insurance companies?
For student tariffs of private health insurance companies, we take the respective factor limits into account during billing.
