Detect, Diagnostics

A thorough examination is the foundation of every good treatment. Many dental and gum diseases develop unnoticed at first. The earlier changes are detected, the simpler, gentler, and often more cost-effective the treatment.

That is why we place great emphasis on precise diagnostics using modern technology and a systematic approach.

At the beginning, the teeth are thoroughly cleaned. Clean tooth surfaces can be assessed much more accurately than areas still covered by deposits. This allows even small changes to be detected early.

For a particularly precise examination, we use:

  • Magnification loupes with high magnification to make fine defects visible early
  • Digital X-ray technology with significantly reduced radiation exposure compared to previous methods
  • High-resolution photographs for documentation, explanation, and progress monitoring
  • Cold light diagnostics to make cracks or hidden changes in the tooth visible
  • Laser-assisted caries diagnostics to classify abnormalities more precisely
  • PSI measurement (Periodontal Screening Index) for early detection of gum and periodontal diseases

Why early diagnosis is so important

Many problems initially cause no pain. Caries, inflamed gums, or beginning periodontitis often remain unnoticed for a long time. If a finding is detected early, a smaller and gentler treatment is often sufficient. Later, significantly more extensive measures may become necessary.

Digital X-ray

Some areas of the teeth are not completely visible from the outside – for example, interdental spaces, root areas, or bone structures. Digital X-ray provides important additional information here.

The advantages:

  • reduced radiation exposure
  • rapid availability of images
  • very good image quality
  • enlarged display for better explanation
  • secure digital documentation

This allows findings to be assessed precisely and treatment steps to be discussed with you in a comprehensible manner.

Our goal

Good diagnostics means above all security for you. We want to detect diseases as early as possible, explain them clearly, and plan the most sensible treatment together with you.
